We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to work 1:1 with a bright and resilient a 13-year-old girl living with a brain injury and complex learning needs in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

The child is currently out of formal education and requires a nurturing, structured, and person-centred approach to learning.

What You'll Be Working

  • Part time role
  • Working 4 hours per week
  • Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Salary: Competitive and negotiable dependent on experience

Start Date: As soon as possible

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide tailored educational support in a safe and supportive home or community setting.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, creative learning activities aligned with the child’s cognitive and emotional needs.
  • Focus on building trust, confidence, and core academic and life skills at a pace suited to the child’s development.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other professionals involved in the child’s care.

What You'll Have

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly brain injury, or learning difficulties.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to education.
  • Patient, compassionate, and flexible teaching style.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, with a child-led and needs-led approach.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (e.g., QTS, HLTA, SEN diploma/certificates).

Desirable

  • Experience working outside of mainstream settings (e.g., EOTAS and home education).
  • Knowledge of assistive technology or alternative communication methods
