Position Purpose

The Payroll Administrator will support the delivery of the UK payroll, via ADP Celergo, under a managed service model. Reporting into the International Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will coordinate closely with the managed service provider to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for UK-based employees. The Payroll Administrator will have a familiarity with Payroll systems, payroll data preparation, validation processes and UK statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key contact for the UK payroll process managed through ADP Celergo
  • Prepare, validate, and upload accurate payroll input files to the ADP portal each month
  • Liaise with ADP to review and approve payroll outputs, ensuring compliance with UK regulations
  • Review payroll reports and manage reconciliation of payroll data against internal HR records
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns including FPS and EPS via managed service provider
  • Maintain payroll calendars and communicate payroll deadlines to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Support the processing of statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.) via ADP
  • Manage payroll-related queries from employees, escalating to ADP or internal stakeholders as needed
  • Assist with payroll audits, year-end processing (P60s, P11Ds), and benefits reporting
  • Keep up-to-date with UK payroll legislation and manage service best practices

Position Requirements

  • Experience working with ADP Celergo or similar global managed payroll service platforms
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation, RTI reporting, and pension auto-enrolment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when handling payroll inputs and reports
  • Ability to manage payroll timelines and work collaboratively with external providers
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Effective communication skills and ability to respond to payroll queries professionally
