Contract Specialist – Long-Term Project Support

Location: Office-based (UK)

Contract Length: Until 31st December 2026

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, full-time

Rate: £60 per hour Ltd, Outside IR35


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Specialist to support a major long-term project within the energy sector. This role will be critical in developing and managing complex contract portfolios across feed and consultancy scopes. You will be embedded within a high-performing team delivering on challenging, technically engaging workstreams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a portfolio of feed and consultancy support contracts for a high-value project.
  • Prepare and issue tender documentation, ensuring all contractual packages are viable and complete.
  • Lead on tender strategy, clarification processes, and negotiation meetings.
  • Coordinate timely flow of information between all stakeholders and tenderers.
  • Manage issuance of tender bulletins and clarification notes.
  • Oversee both technical and commercial evaluations and negotiation strategies.
  • Prepare and issue contracts, including all supporting documentation.
  • Lead contract kick-off meetings and manage post-award contract administration.
  • Drive contract close-out processes with full documentation and compliance.
  • Report on contract progress and milestones from pre- to post-award stages.


Working Relationships:

  • Collaborates closely with a multi-disciplinary internal project team.
  • Liaises with contractors, suppliers, and relevant offshore or site-based roles.
  • Interfaces with both internal and external project stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in contracts and procurement, ideally within the energy, oil and gas, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong background in supply chain or subcontract management.
  • Experience preparing, negotiating, and executing technical service agreements and consultancy contracts.
  • Familiarity with large-scale international project environments.
  • Previous experience working with Middle Eastern project frameworks is desirable but not essential.
