Warehouse Shift Manager
Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Shift Manager's to join our team in Livingston. The purpose of this role is to keep everyone safe, by reducing risk and ensuring Menzies and Saica H&S rules are followed without exception, also to achieve Saica's customer delivery requirements of on time, in full and of the correct quality without damage.
The Details:
- Salary: £45,000
- Shift Pattern: Rotating (Days, Backs, Nights)
- Hours: Days - 06:00-14:00, Backs - 14:00-22:00, Nights - 22:00-06:00
- Full-time, permanent
- Livingston
- Monthly Pay
- Onsite Parking
Key Accountabilities:
- To ensure all reports are trained in their duties with evidence available and on file.
- To ensure direct reports are fully aware of their responsibilities and are being effectively performance managed to achieve them
- To manage holidays, ensuring no holidays are booked without cover being arranged beforehand and that there are no gaps in cover at any time.
- Ensure no production lost time due to take off belts becoming the bottleneck at any time
- Ensure load list as planned by transport is completed with 100% accuracy
- PI stock takes to be completed as scheduled, stock rotation to be maintained
- NC, waste and customer returns to be handled in line with Saica requirements. Emphasis on scanning returned goods asap following arrival in the Warehouse.
- To ensure the Warehouse, Loading Bays and Yard Areas are kept clean and free from debris with evidence of effective workplace organisation visible.
- MHE to be maintained in good order and without delay, all breakdowns to be reported to Saica immediately.
Key Measures
- Zero LTI's for self and all reports
- All MHE daily checks to be completed as required including reporting defects.
- Zero complaints for unsafe or damaged stock loaded ex Livingston
- Records of training and skills matrix to be kept live and updated as necessary
- Zero lost time for Conversion machines due to take off belts full
- No customer returns left unscanned for more than 12hrs
