About The Role
Responsible for the preparation of the accounts for BRUSH Group Ltd and Brush Switchgear Australia, for ensuring the continuity of the services provided to the internal customers of the UK Finance Shared Services, to help ensure the integrity and the completeness of accounts, the adherence to reporting deadlines and the continuous improvement of Finance processes.

Responsible for the preparation of the accounts for BRUSH Group Ltd and Brush Switchgear Australia, for ensuring the continuity of the services provided to the internal customers of the UK Finance Shared Services, to help ensure the integrity and the completeness of accounts, the adherence to reporting deadlines and the continuous improvement of Finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the monthly accounts for BRUSH Group Limited, including completion of the balance sheet reconciliations, posting of monthly journals, production of the trial balance and input into the Consolidation tool after review with the Controllership Director.
- Preparation of the monthly accounts for HSS Pty (BRUSH Switchgear Australia), comprising posting cashbook, reconciling AR & AP, prepayments, accruals & provisions, WIP and stock reviews with operations, completion of balance sheet reconciliations, through to production of the trial balance and input into the consolidation tool after review with the Finance Manager - Switchgear.
- Reconciliation of the Group Cost reallocations within the Consolidation tool for all entities.
- Production and reporting of key finance KPIs across Group entities.
- Consolidation of the month end Balance Sheet reports from the Group entities.
- Support the BRUSH Group Balance Sheet Review process, ensuring all actions are recorded and progress monitored.
- Work with the Controllership Director and Financial / Management Accountants to support the formalisation of the Internal Controls framework and the self-monitoring process.
- Support all Group companies on Accounts Payable, Cashbook and Expenses as required, to cover for absence due to holidays and sickness.
- Provide support for the preparation and review of Statutory Accounts throughout all Group Companies
- Support the Insurance declaration completion.
- Dealing with external auditors where required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- AAT Qualified (or part qualified and studying), or CIMA, ACA, or ACCA part qualified (lower levels)
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Demonstrate integrity and the ability to challenge
- Delivery of process improvements
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Good excel skills essential (Advanced skills an advantage)
- Ability to work at both transactional and reporting levels
- ERP Systems improvement/implementation
- Good communication skills
- Management / Financial Accounting, reporting and transactional
- Internal Controls
- Supporting the production of Management Accounts from Trial Balance
- Balance Sheet reconciliation and review process
- Dealing with external / internal auditors
- Experience of manufacturing/engineering sector advantage but not requirement
