Agile Coach

Scope & key interfaces

• Coach and mentor the existing digital development partners and associated development teams to continually improve their Agile maturity
• Interface with all parts of the business to provide education for existing and new staff on Agile ways of working within Greene King
• Connect with the Digital Centre of Excellence and Digital Product to grow their agile maturity, standards and processes
• Own the standardisation and improved functionality use of ADO
• Work with the Senior Digital Delivery Manager, identifying effective ways of working that will drive overall delivery and continuous improvement of processes, partner and team performance
• Engage and enable cost-effective, high-quality development of digital services for Greene King through development of a set of metrics to baseline and monitor digital delivery

Agile Maturity

• Develop and implement a set of standards ways of working that showcase how Agile delivery is best placed to work within Greene King, aligning the partners to these ways of working
• Coach and mentor the existing digital development partners and associated development teams to continually improve their Agile maturity
• Support the Digital Centre of Excellence and Digital Product to grow their Agile maturity through focusing on our Agile Ways of Working
  
  

Agile Education

• Develop and implement a set of Agile education seminars to introduce Agile ways of working to all parts of the business
• Focused courses in greater depth for Greene King IT
  
  

Agile Connectivity

• Create and implement an Agile Community of Practice across partners for the development teams
• Support the creation of an Agile Community of Practice for Business Analysts and Delivery Managers
  
  

Agile Toolset

• Own and improve the agreed Agile Toolset increasing standard use of Azure Dev Ops for recording of work, prioritisation of the backlog and dashboard reporting.
• Work with Digital Product to understand and improve their prioritisation needs and methods
  
  

Digital Development Metrics

• Create and implement a set of digital development metrics that will form a basis to continually improve the velocity and quality of digital delivery
  
  

Scrum Master Involvement

• When necessary, provide Scrum Master support to a development partner
  
  

Company Description

The Agile Coach plays a critical part in ensuring exceptional delivery of Greene King’s Digital ambitions through partners. The role’s main objectives are to build strong working relationships with our digital platform partners, working with them, the Digital Delivery and Digital Product team to monitor and continuously improve Agile ways of working and digital delivery, adapting Agile trusted ways of working to a Greene King delivery environment, creating a best in show.

Qualifications

• Certified scrum master
• Significant scrum delivery experience and widespread understanding across a broad range of IT digital technologies and practices:
• Mobile Apps
• Websites
• Customer Data Platforms
• APIs and Microservices
• Able to find pragmatic and effective digital solutions to business problems.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies as well as the application of hybrid approaches
• Strong experience of working with Agile in an enterprise environment (e.g. SAFe framework)
• Experience of delivering development solutions through third parties
• Strong knowledge and experience of using ADO and implementation of standardisation
• A demonstrable passion and drive for delivering best practice combined with a continuous improvement mindset
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills working across internal and external teams
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills combined with experience in terms of both breadth and depth in relation to stakeholder management
