Job Purpose
As an Email & Automation Executive, you will support the delivery of learndirect Digital Groups email and SMS campaigns, automated workflows, and performance reporting using HubSpot.
This role is essential in executing our marketing strategy, ensuring timely, relevant, and personalised communications that drive engagement and business growth. You will collaborate with the wider business to optimise customer journeys and campaign effectiveness through data-driven insights and automation.
This role will be based in our Bournemouth, Dorset office.

This role will be based in our Bournemouth, Dorset office.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Build and manage marketing email and SMS campaigns using HubSpot, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Create and maintain automated email workflows for onboarding, re-engagement, and lead nurturing.
- Segment audiences based on behavioural and demographic data to improve targeting and personalisation.
- Optimise campaign performance through A/B testing, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Generate reports and dashboards using HubSpot analytics to measure performance.
- Maintain data accuracy and hygiene within HubSpot, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Stay informed about new HubSpot features and best practices and support the team in applying them to enhance operations.
- Assist in managing the email marketing calendar and coordinating timelines with the marketing team.
- Support the Digital Transformation & Automation Lead to assess systems and implement AI and automation solutions that drive efficiency and tech-enabled improvements across departments
What we are looking for in you -
- Experience using HubSpot or a similar marketing automation platform.
- Basic understanding of email marketing, SMS campaigns, and performance metrics.
- Comfortable working with data and generating actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft engaging and relevant content.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide guidance on HubSpot best practices.
- Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- HubSpot certifications or formal training.
- Experience with SMS marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with GDPR and data protection best practices.
