We’re looking for a passionate and driven Hot Food Chef to join our team, playing a key role in the preparation of high-quality hot and cold dishes, working closely with third-party delivery platforms, and helping drive sales. Key Responsibilities
Hot Food & Cold Production:
- Prepare and cook a variety of hot food dishes to a high standard, consistently meeting food safety and quality guidelines.
- Support the production and presentation of cold food items, including salads, sushi, or grab-and-go offerings.
- Ensure all recipes are followed accurately and portion control is maintained.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene across food preparation and storage areas.
- Work in sync with delivery partners (e.g., Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat) to ensure seamless, on-time order fulfilment.
- Monitor orders, adjust prep based on volume fluctuations, and ensure dishes meet spec and brand standards every time.
- Collaborate with front-of-house/delivery liaison team to minimise delays and improve service scores.
- Contribute to the development and execution of new menu items that increase customer satisfaction and sales.
- Help drive kitchen efficiencies to reduce waste and improve margins.
- Take an active role in identifying trends in delivery sales and customer preferences.
- Maintain daily logs of food output, customer ratings, and prep levels to report back on sales performance.
- Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth service.
- Help train new team members and uphold a culture of quality, speed, and accountability.
- Communicate clearly with the team during busy shifts to manage priorities.
- Proven experience in a similar hot kitchen role, ideally within a delivery-focused environment.
- Understand how QSR works.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, allergens, and health & safety regulations.
- Confident using kitchen tech and delivery platform interfaces.
- Passionate about food, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts as required.
