Enterprise Architect

London - hybrid working

Contract - Inside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Until Year-End (initial term), with potential extension

A major finance player are hiring an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead a critical and time-sensitive transformation programme. This role is pivotal in orchestrating the decommissioning of an Enterprise Architecture Platform and transitioning to a new platform before the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of the iServer transition programme, working across business and technology domains to drive successful delivery.
  • Define and execute the roadmap for migration, ensuring minimal disruption to existing architecture governance and artefacts.
  • Evaluate, select, and onboard the target platform in alignment with enterprise architecture goals and stakeholder requirements.
  • Work closely with architecture, technology, and business teams to understand current usage of iServer, catalogue dependencies, and define migration strategies.
  • Ensure new tooling integrates effectively into the broader architecture landscape, including alignment with frameworks, standards, and governance processes.
  • Provide hands-on support to technical and non-technical users during the transition.
  • Produce clear documentation, training materials, and transition plans to support change management efforts.

Required Experience

  • Proven track record in Enterprise Architecture roles with a strong delivery focus – able to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Demonstrable experience of decommissioning or migrating from iServer or similar EA tooling (e.g. Ardoq, LeanIX, Bizzdesign, OrbusInfinity).
  • Deep understanding of EA frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) coupled with a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to work with senior leadership, architecture teams, and delivery functions.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with aggressive timelines and complex dependencies.
  • Familiarity with architecture modelling standards (e.g. ArchiMate) and integration with CMDBs, APIs, or other enterprise tooling.

This is an urgent project and as such it will be a fast turnaround - if you have the required skills and applied them in financial organisations and can demonstrate a track record with good contract durations you will get a response this week.

Rate range is (ballpark) £750- £850 inside IR35, may be flex and depends on experience.
