Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sales Director to thrive in our sales environment and win new business. In this hunting role you will be fundamental in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You will be comfortable making dozens of contacts per week, working collaboratively across multiple functions at 9Spokes and our Partners to generate leads, qualify and close sales.
Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the business, including Marketing, Product and Development teams, you will collectively deliver a cohesive brand and communication experience for 9Spokes, our customers and our partners.
You will develop a strong sales pipeline to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of our platform users. Concurrently, you will ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged at the right time.
Key Accountabilities
The following covers the Sales Director role key accountabilities; however, this is not an exhaustive list, and the role will include additional responsibilities:
- Develop and source sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound methods (including cold calls, etc)
- Qualify and understand customer needs and requirements
- Present 9Spokes offerings throughout the sales cycle, promoting and up-selling where possible
- Act as the evangelist for the 9Spokes solution in the EMEA market
- Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
- Understand key sales metrics and be able to present them to the Senior Leadership Team in a clear and concise manner
- Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
- Qualify opportunities for further development and closure
Security Responsibilities
All 9Spokes staff have basic information security responsibilities that relate to the physical and virtual safety and security of 9Spokes-controlled information and must comply with the associated company policies and procedures.
As a 9Spokes employee you will be required to:
- Follow the 9Spokes policies and procedures applicable to your job function.
- Understand information security, including how to handle information, reporting risks and/or breaches, and how to support colleagues to do the same.
Qualifications, Key Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and working knowledge across the following areas:
- 10+ years of proven sales success, meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas
- Banking, fintech and data SaaS sales experience
- Strong customer service and presentation skills
- Experience working with HubSpot or similar CRM
- Willingness and ambition to help 9Spokes growth
- Ability to work in a global, virtual organization
Given the small size of the team, many of the key accountabilities will be shared within the team and the Sales Director is expected to be an important team member in the delivery. 9Spokes values driven individuals with excellent time-management skills who can produce outcomes, who also enjoy opportunities to think and solve issues creatively.
