We are looking for

A skilled Customs Risk & Audit Manager to oversee compliance with customs regulations and manage associated risks. You will be responsible for identifying and assessing risks in customs operations, conducting thorough audits and inspections, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring the integrity of customs processes. This role plays a key role in preventing fraud and non-compliance while safeguarding operational standards

What You Will Be Doing

  • Documentation Mastery: Keep all customs-related procedures well-documented and up to date.
  • Compliance Oversight: Monitor adherence to agreed procedures through a structured internal audit program.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Investigate and report non-compliance, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Risk Management: Identify, report, and manage all customs-related risk areas effectively.
  • Leadership Role: Lead and manage internal audit teams across the group to ensure excellence.
  • Systems Optimization: Collaborate with IT to maintain robust, efficient, and compliant systems.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Communicate customs matters across the group to uphold high standards and awareness.
  • Training Initiatives: Organise relevant training sessions to enhance customs expertise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external parties on customs matters as needed.
  • Flexibility: Undertake additional duties aligned with the role as assigned by the line manager.

  • Excellent Communicator, clear and confident in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to translate complex customs matters into understandable terms.
  • Works seamlessly across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficient with customs-related IT systems and tools to ensure compliance and optimisation.
  • Competent in designing and delivering training sessions on customs matters.
  • Regulatory Knowledge and up to date with evolving customs laws and regulations.
  • Expertise in maintaining organised, accurate, and accessible records for audits and compliance.
