This role plays an integral part of Defaqto’s success through supporting the Insight Operations Team in the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly fund and portfolio risk rating assessments, Investment and Environmental Social and Governance Review (ESG) updates and document management.
You'll also input fund and DFM information to ensure that our database of financial products, propositions, funds and portfolios is up to date and accurate.
With a focus on asset managers, you'll liaise with relevant individuals (both internal and external) to help identify the future data/information needs of Defaqto clients and work with team members to plan the collection and dissemination of relevant data and information.
You'll also work closely with the wider Insight Team on the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures to ensure the relevance, completeness, accuracy and timeliness of data.
What we're looking for:
This is a hybrid role so you'll be working in our Haddenham office twice each week (normally Monday and Tuesday). We have free onsite parking and are close to the Haddenham and Thame railway station, which is on the Oxford to London line.

What we're looking for:
- You'll be highly numerate with excellent data analysis and interpretation skills - ideally you'll have studied a STEM subject at A-Level.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- A creative thinker who is analytical and organised with keen problem-solving skills and a flexible 'can-do' attitude.
- Self-motivated, independent and proactive with a strong drive for results, whilst being a collaborative team player who can think and work cross-functionally.
- Happy working with spreadsheets and data with strong attention to detail.
- Having a working knowledge of UK retail financial services, UK asset management and/or wealth management market would be an advantage but is not essential. However, if you don't have this experience or knowledge, you'll need to be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to to build a career in these areas.
