About The Role

We are on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Workplace and Facilities Manager to join our growing team and help shape the future of our workspaces across the South-West.

In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the delivery of a safe, efficient, and compliant facilities service—covering everything from strategic procurement to hands-on management. You will work closely with both in-house teams and trusted external partners to ensure our workplaces are not only functional but inspiring.

With key offices in Exeter (Devon), Camborne (Cornwall), and Weston-Super-Mare (Somerset), you will lead and support a team of dedicated facilities professionals, ensuring excellence across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Championing a high-performing, safe, and compliant workplace environment.
  • Leading on health & safety, risk audits, and compliance reporting—escalating issues when needed.
  • Managing procurement and performance of both hard and soft FM services.
  • Ensuring seamless day-to-day operations across all sites.
  • Overseeing contractor relationships, reviewing RAMS, and providing H&S guidance.
  • Monitoring building assets, planning maintenance, and forecasting OPEX/CAPEX.
  • Driving sustainability efforts and supporting our carbon reduction strategy.
  • Managing budgets, leases, service charges, and business continuity plans.
  • Mentoring and developing a geographically dispersed FM team in line with our values.
  • Stepping in for the Head of Workplace and Facilities when needed, including out-of-hours support.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working is offered for this role, working 2 - 3 days per week in the Exeter, Weston-super-Mare or Tolvaddon office or more often if required, dependent on business need.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Workplace & Facilities Manager you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 3 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in managing facilities or property services, with strong knowledge of hard/soft services, compliance, and workplace H&S.
  • Leadership and line management skills with a people-focused, customer service-oriented approach.
  • Strong procurement, budget management, and environmental reporting experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to scrutinise technical H&S documentation.
  • Proficient in using FM systems (e.g. BMS, CAFM).
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Must hold a full valid driving licence.
