We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our Advanced Materials Team, enabling our customers and partners to create successful products and gain commercial advantage. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is early on in their project management career and looking for further growth and development in an exciting, challenging and varied sector.
Role Purpose
The Project Coordinator is essential to the success of our projects and will act as the central point of contact for the project team, ensuring the team and clients are aware of key dates and/or milestones to enable programme deliverables and milestone to be achieved in the required timescales. The Project Coordinator will be working on projects which include cross organisation collaboration and communication, along with interactions with customers, suppliers and other sub-contractors.

The Project Coordinator is essential to the success of our projects and will act as the central point of contact for the project team, ensuring the team and clients are aware of key dates and/or milestones to enable programme deliverables and milestone to be achieved in the required timescales. The Project Coordinator will be working on projects which include cross organisation collaboration and communication, along with interactions with customers, suppliers and other sub-contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the team through maintaining Gantt charts, coordinating meetings with internal/external stakeholders and creating/managing risk registers
- Raise internal purchase orders and liaise with the Procurement Engineer and Finance team to ensure goods are purchased as required
- Maintain project management documentation such as meeting agendas, actions, minutes and ensuring agreed changes are made and implemented
- Provide project progress updates to clients and liaise with internal subject matter experts to prepare relevant technical information; feedback to the team and proactively manage the timely completion of reports to the client
- Permanent position
- Full-time (37 hours per week, Mon – Fri)
- Onsite at our office in Stone, Staffordshire

- Degree or vocational qualifications in science or business subject
- Experience in a fast-moving industrial and complex / technical environment is extremely beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently, comfortably and effectively with partner organisations and to work cross-functionally would be ideal
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex situations and progressing work activities, using initiative and judgement, ideally in a project environment
- Creative problem solving with the ability to make sense of complex and sometimes conflicting information
- Flair for working with teams and partners to build effective relationships for mutual benefit.
- Good time management skills
- Excellent listening skills with highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- The willingness to work in a “one team” culture to resolve challenges that may arise internally or externally in a proactive and methodical manner
