About The School

Sir Frederick Gibberd College is an aspirational 11-18 school in Harlow, Essex, with outstanding ambition. We are now looking for an exceptional leader to help Sir Frederick Gibberd College on its path to excellence: a place where high quality teaching and learning is delivered, where exemplary behaviour and care is guaranteed, where great outcomes are attained and opportunities for all to achieve and flourish is a given.

The school opened in September 2019, named after the celebrated architect who designed Harlow as one of the UK's first post-war New Towns. From its inception, the school has been dedicated to providing high-quality education to the local community. It has grown from a cohort of Year 7 students to a whole community where students, their families and the public come together to learn, have fun and make a difference. In September 2021, the sixth form opened, expanding the provision of quality education for the young people of Harlow. At Sir Frederick Gibberd College, students are given every opportunity to achieve this- with a personalised curriculum, rich and innovative experiences outside of the classroom.
