You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of between £26,825 to £31,732 per annum (actual salary of £22,886 - £27,072 per annum), plus staff benefits.

About the role:
You will organise and monitor work experience placements for students on full time Health and Social Care study programmes within the Care, Health and Early Years Department.
You will have designated classroom time and responsibility to deliver and assess aspects of the Health and Social Care programmes to support students’ timely achievement.
Key responsibilities of the Professional Practice Assessor role
Overall responsibility for sourcing and organising work experience placements in health and social care settings to support learners to develop sector related skills in preparation for further study or employment.
Support students’ timely completion of DBS applications and to act as an approved signatory
Liaise with course leaders and students within the Department to identify a suitable range of placements.
Contact training placements promoting the courses and the needs of the students for experience in the workplace, acting as an ‘Ambassador’ for Cambridge Regional College.
Act as main point of contact for employers and learners, creating positive relationships with employers to support in the training and development of learners.
Visit a cohort of students in the workplace to gather feedback on student progress and performance from employers
Plan, deliver and assess the BTEC L3 health and social care mandatory work experience unit and record achievement with guidance from the Lead Internal Quality Assurer

What we are looking for in our role:
A self-motivated, creative and flexible individual with good interpersonal, administrative and communication skills
The ideal applicant will be experienced in working in health and social care, organised and able to meet deadlines showing attention to detail and have the ability to cultivate good working relationships with colleagues, students and employers
Applicants should hold a L3 qualification in health and social care, have good IT skills and current knowledge of the health and social care sector which is essential to this role.
