What are we looking for?
We are looking for trustees who are passionate about supporting women and have the skills and experience to guide the charity to fulfil its mission. While we welcome a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise, we are particularly interested in individuals with one or more of the following attributes Experience in the Charity Sector Previous trustee experience or experience working with charitable organisations. Experience in IT and infrastructure projects Strategic oversight experience or advisory input on major IT and infrastructure initiatives, such as digital transformation, systems implementation, or facilities development. Ability to provide governance-level guidance, evaluate project risks, and ensure alignment with the charity’s long-term objectives and compliance requirements. Leadership & Governance Demonstrated ability to work strategically and effectively at a leadership level. Financial Acumen Knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and fundraising practices. Advocacy & Fundraising Skills Experience in supporting or leading fundraising campaigns or advocacy efforts. Legal & Compliance Knowledge Understanding of charity law, governance, and risk management processes. Commitment to the Charity’s Values Passion for supporting women, especially those facing domestic violence and related challenges. About Resolute Women’s Support Services Resolute Women’s Support Services is a newly formed charity (awaiting final Charity Commission approval) dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse. We help women regain strength, dignity, and independence, while also working to change public perceptions and push for justice reform. Our services are survivor-led, trauma-informed, and focused on empowering women to rebuild their lives. The Role We are looking for passionate and skilled individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of the charity. Trustees play a vital role in ensuring we deliver on our mission, remain legally compliant, and maintain strong governance and financial oversight. This is a hands-on trustee role at an exciting time of growth, with an expected time commitment of 1–2 hours a week over the next few months as we establish core operations, before transitioning to a standard 10–12 hours per month. What We’re Looking For We welcome applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds. You do not need previous trustee experience, but we are particularly keen to hear from people with skills in IT and infrastructure (e.g., digital transformation, systems implementation, facilities oversight) Finance, budgeting and fundraising Legal and regulatory compliance Charity governance or senior leadership Advocacy or frontline support for women and girls We are especially keen to hear from people with lived experience or from underrepresented communities.
