Role Purpose
This role will assist the Head of Customer & Marketing Operations in ensuring that marketing campaign activity is planned effectively and in advance, to enable the successful delivery of business critical marketing initiatives. All marketing teams must be aligned with clear plans in place to deliver activity through documented processes, milestones and clear communication.

This role will assist the Head of Customer & Marketing Operations in ensuring that marketing campaign activity is planned effectively and in advance, to enable the successful delivery of business critical marketing initiatives. All marketing teams must be aligned with clear plans in place to deliver activity through documented processes, milestones and clear communication.
Core Responsibilities
Supporting the Head of Customer & Marketing Operations by:
- Translates business priorities into actionable marketing plans aligned to strategic goals
- Creates and maintains centralised marketing activity plans, tracking performance and adjusting timelines where needed
- Leads cross-functional meetings with Marketing Heads, Directors, and other business units to ensure alignment on campaign and business objectives
- Arranging and leading meetings with Heads of Department and Directors within Marketing, as well as other parts of the business to ensure all activities are on track and in line with campaign & business objectives
- Manages planning documentation, including agendas, minutes, actions, and a register of risks and issues—driving resolution with stakeholders
- Proactively escalates campaign misalignment, risks, or delivery concerns to the Head of Customer & Marketing Operations and, where appropriate, the Chief Customer Officer (CCO)
- Partners with the Commercial team to synchronise marketing and promotional activity
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance marketing planning efficiency
- Proven experience in marketing planning within the retail or furniture industry
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- High proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Slides, Forms) and planning apps (e.g. Smartsheet, Trello, Lucidchart)
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage milestone plans and to interpret marketing and sales performance metrics
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and their use in marketing planning or content generation
- Experience producing executive-level slide decks or performance dashboards
- Excellent communicator, able to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including Executive leadership
- Constructively challenges stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Proactive in identifying risks and facilitating solutions to maintain campaign momentum
- Highly organised; adept at managing multiple plans and stakeholders across complex campaigns
- Committed to continuous improvement; recognises opportunities to streamline processes and drive efficiencies
- Commercially aware; keeps abreast of industry trends and benchmarks performance against competitors
