An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in the Occupational Therapy Access and Prevention Team,

Within the Occupational Therapy access and prevention team we have two teams. Our Duty team focus on screening, signposting, and urgent assessment for equipment provision. The second team is the Adaptations team who complete assessments for major adaptations in private and housing association properties and work alongside Housing OT service for bathing assessments and the Home Improvement team for DFG.

We are seeking to recruit three qualified (HCPC) permanent Occupational Therapists who are proactive in their approach, open to change and enjoy the challenge of influencing and implementing new ways of working within social care.

The successful candidates will be given a full induction across both teams to build knowledge and skills across the service.

Your role will be assessing adults and children of all ages who have a disability or illness that affects everyday living. You will make recommendations for equipment and adaptations to promote independence and wellbeing to enable people to live within the community. You will be completing a variety of duty screening, remote assessments, same day duty visits, equipment assessment and provision in addition to complex assessments for specialist equipment and adaptations.

We offer a wide range of CPD and training opportunities for development both internally and external opportunities. We welcome qualified Occupational therapist working in alternative sectors looking for carer development or those returning to practice as an OT as well those completing final year at university.

These are agile roles with a mixture of home working and office-based work in addition to community visits. The roles are full time working Monday to Friday, we have an excellent agile working policy to support work life balance.

The successful candidates must hold a valid full driving licence with business insurance and access to their own vehicle to drive around the Dudley Borough. Please complete the online application
