Store Development Assistant/CAD Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Development Assistant / CAD Technician to join our fast-paced Store Development team, based at our Distribution Centre in Runcorn (WA7 1SE).
The role is fully office based, Monday to Friday.
Please note: Our location is not easily accessible by public transport, so having your own means of transport is strongly advised.
This is a fantastic role for someone with strong AutoCAD LT skills and a keen eye for detail, looking to play a key part in the design and development of our growing retail estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing and amending AutoCAD layouts for new stores, extensions, and refurbishments
- Converting PDF and paper plans into digital formats
- Creating accurate fire plans for submission to the relevant authorities
- Updating layouts in line with information from our site surveyor
- Maintaining up-to-date store plans across the business
- Assisting with ordering equipment (e.g., checkouts, shelving components) and checking details
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, surveyors, property managers, and senior management
- Providing general administrative support to the Store Development Manager
What We’re Looking For:
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT – this is essential
- A good understanding of UK building regulations – experience in retail is advantageous
- Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confident working at pace and managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Self-motivated and proactive with a hands-on approach
