We are looking for an Innovative Manager to lead Colchester Borough HomesGateway To Homechoice Team, administering the Housing register on behalf of Colchester City Council. An excellent understanding of the Housing Act 1996, Part 6 and relevant allocations policies is essential, as they apply to the allocation of social housing..

The Gateway To Homechoice Manager will lead a team who provide a comprehensive service for all customers using The Gateway to Homechoice scheme. You will ensure applications are processed, properties advertised, and applicants shortlisted for properties, within the required timeframes. You will be responsible for keeping the team well trained and equipped to give relevant advice to customers about their current housing situation. Monitor team performance enabling each member to process all aspects of the Gateway To Homechoice service consistently and appropriately.

You will be responsible for the continued development of information available for all customers to access and include it relevant websites. You will be required to run reports, analyse data, and update all relevant databases. It is essential you can prioritize your own and the team's workload, as well as exceptional written, verbal, and organizational skills.

You will have a positive can-do attitude and an ability to communicate at all levels, and methods. It is essential that you can manage a large and varied workload, evidencing this with previous experience.

You will be required to travel, meet with other local authorities and Housing Providers. You will have the ability to work in different locations, providing support across the Borough and Colchester Borough Homes different office locations. You will be expected to work proactively at home or in other remote locations as the business requires.
