We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our HR Operations team in Peterborough on a full-time, permanent basis.

In this role, you will provide a professional and efficient HR and payroll administration service, ensuring our policies are underpinned by accurate documentation and well-maintained systems.


You'll play a key role in supporting a positive employee experience by streamlining administrative processes, proactively resolving issues, and ensuring seamless operational support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drafting offer letters, contracts, and other HR-related documents for new joiners, ensuring all documentation is accurately logged.
  • Responding to employee queries via multiple communication channels on a rotational basis, using your investigational skills to provide accurate and timely responses.
  • Ensuring all vacancies are correctly authorised and managing the accurate logging of HR administration and payroll activities appropriately.
  • Preparing and processing payroll data, including annual leave calculations, holiday pay, prorated salaries, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Maintaining and updating employee personal files with all relevant HR information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Managing approval workflows in HRIS for various employee changes.
  • Producing and distributing employee letters, such as, promotions, salary increases, and flexible working confirmations.
  • Signposting and communicating relevant HR policies to employees.
  • Create and update contractor's contracts as necessary and communicate updates to key departments.
  • Monitoring HR trackers and notifications, ensuring timely completion of actions related to these trackers.


What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in an HR function is desired but not essential
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate logging and management of HR tasks, ensuring quality documentation.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for addressing employee queries and collaborating with departments.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with team members for consistent HR practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigative skills to resolve HR issues and manage workflows.
  • Organisation & Time Management: Proficient in handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Policy Knowledge: Familiar with HR policies.
  • Confidentiality: Dedicated to safeguarding sensitive employee information.
