Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
Working with the Technology team and the wider business to identify, develop and implement improvements to systems and business processes, driving tangible business outcomes.
This will mean facilitation and capturing “As is” business processes, identifying bottlenecks and proposing target process and system changes to support our Growth Strategy.
You will be building a strong understanding of the business and forging productive working relationships with key stakeholders. In addition, you will be involved in definition and execution of the programme of change to achieve the target process improvements.
Key Accountabilities
Understanding and documenting as-is and to-be business processes and workflows and their relationships to current and future software solutions
Identification of opportunities to drive process improvement and the business value of proposed improvements
Presenting concepts in a concise and focused manner, including narrative, process diagrams, role and accountability diagrams and business-focused story boards
Working with business stakeholders to prioritise change based on business value
Partnering with business users to fully surface their requirements; conducting discovery sessions and interviews with key project stakeholders, documenting and presenting the results
Assisting business users, project managers and IT leadership in optimising the scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects; help manage expectations of users and management
Supporting traceability from requirements through to QA; assisting in the definition of test plans and testing strategies and in the creation of test cases
Assisting in the definition of roll out, training and user support plans
Creating and/or reviewing manuals, procedures, and related user documentation; ensuring documentation is targeted to the appropriate audience
What You'll Need
Experience as a Business Analyst work experience involved in large scale business transformation projects, and use of structured Business Analysis methodologies for multi-million-pound projects
Previous experience of process mapping using methods such as BPMN or SIPOC
Experience in continuous improvement using methodologies such as Six Sigma would be beneficial
Experience working and implementing projects in a Retail based environment
Understanding of Retail Systems, Functions and Processes
Flexibility to travel
