What you will be doing

As the Head of Finance you will oversee the UK Finance function and act as a strategic partner to the UK Board and the senior leadership team, responsible for financial planning, performance management, governance and transformation initiatives, and assisting in decision making processes required for the delivery of strategic objectives and annual budget.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis – to lead accurate monthly reporting, forecasting, cash management and strategic financial planning activities, ensuring clear financial insight is given to the CEO and Board and strategic financial KPIs are met
  • Business Partnering – Collaborate with the UK board and functional leaders to shape strategy, enhance profitability and support decision making by providing high quality, strategic contributions and ensuring operational decisions are supported by financial insight
  • Financial Compliance and Risk Management – To ensure full compliance with Ricoh Group policies, SOX, IFRS, and local statutory regulations and be responsible for learning internal and external audits resulting in all deadlines being met, clean audit outcome and no compliance breaches
  • Financial Transformation & Process Improvement – to drive Finance transformation, process automation, system enhancements and cost efficiency initiatives to ensure key transformation milestones are delivered for the business and cost savings are achieved
  • Commercial Finance Leadership – to support Sales and contract negotiations through modelling financial outcomes for new business and drive margin improvements to ensure margin uplifts, successful tender support and client financial risks are minimised
  • People Leadership - To lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of qualified and part qualified financial professionals and associated support functions, to enhance the team’s execution and delivery of their responsibilities. Creating an environment of high energy and performance excellence to contribute to employee engagement and effective succession planning.

You will ideally have

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Comprehensive financial accounting skills supported by a charted accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is essential
  • MBA or equivalent business qualification is desirable
  • Expert knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/UKGAAP/SOX)
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to challenge and influence business decisions confidently in a wide range of situations
  • Advanced analytical skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights
  • Extensive, proven experience at a senior finance leadership level; managing diverse teams, internal stakeholders and external client engagement.
  • Excellent presentation skills – able to translate complex data for non-finance audience
  • Project and change management expertise
  • Previous experience gleaned in a client-facing/multi-site industry, ideally technology / professional services business.
  • Proven experience of successful commercial/finance transformation assignments in corporate environment.
  • Substantial experience at senior management level with responsibility for line management of multiple direct reports and demonstratable experience of providing strong leadership, coaching and team development activity
  • Proven success in senior financial leadership roles within a multi-site, customer-focused business, ideally technology or professional services.
  • Extensive experience of transformation projects, mergers & acquisitions support, and operational finance leadership.
