What We Do.
This fantastic opportunity will be based at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise.
About The Role.
Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Administrator to provide route planning, compliance, execution and administrative support to the Transport Department.
Accountabilities:
Accountabilities within the role are as follows:
- Ensure POD's are captured and filed, noting any deviations, Sending relevant POD’s to external hauliers and customers.
- Assist the transport operation on a day to day basis.
- Raise PO's for all standard Transport invoices and any Adhoc invoices up to the value of £500, unless otherwise stated by the Transport Manager
- Ensure all administrative duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- To use and maintain all IT based systems in adherence to company guidelines
- To always display the highest standards of customer service.
To be considered for the role you will need to posses the following:
- The ability to understand and pass, as a minimum, entry level English & Numeracy & data accuracy requirements
- Experience of working in an administrative role, with a good understanding and ability to use computer systems
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills – verbal/written/listening
- Ability to work to tight and changing deadlines
- Have a flexible approach to work and hours
- Ability to understand and adhere to health and safety requirements
- Able to carry out duties in line with Occupational Health requirements
