Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phase Leader to take charge of the leadership and management of the school’s key stage curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and effective use of resources to boost learning standards and achievement for all learners.

As a Phase Leader, the individual will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the curriculum within the Transition phase and ensuring all teaching staff are supported in delivering outstanding lessons.
  • Engaging actively in whole-school self-evaluation processes and contributing to the school improvement planning initiatives.
  • Mentoring and developing staff within the key stage, offering guidance, support, and showcasing best practices in teaching to foster professional growth.
  • Maintaining an informed understanding of current theory and practice in education to effectively lead and inspire the teaching team.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, thereby championing the needs of all learners, especially those with special educational needs and disabilities.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in education, alongside strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for fostering an inclusive environment for both students and staff.
