About the role:

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is seeking a creative and passionate Marketing Volunteer to work within our collaborative and dynamic Retail Marketing Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support with key projects across the team, and gain knowledge in marketing.

You will work with the following teams:

  • Marketing
  • Retail
  • Internal Comms

The difference you will make: You will support the team with retail marketing efforts. The team covers generating fundraising income, encouraging shoppers to purchase and donate stock, as well as recruiting retail volunteers across our UK shops and stores. A higher profile can help us raise the funds we need for our work, ensure people know about our research and the opportunities to get involved.


Time Commitment : We are looking for someone who can commit to volunteer at least 7 hours a week, flexible days, over a six-month period initially.

Location: This role is available remote, or hybrid which would involve volunteering from home and travel to our London office once a week.

What would you be doing: This is an opportunity to get involved in retail marketing projects as they arise across the team, which encompasses fundraising, shopper, volunteering and stock donations.

Here are some examples of potential projects:

  • Support with store front review: An opportunity to better understand our store shop fronts (e.g. POS slots).
  • Internal comms support: You would be working with the internal communications team to ensure the right messages are sent to our shops and stores at the right time.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone over 18 years of age.
  • Experience in marketing and thirst to learn more.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
