What You’ll Be Doing
Once trained, you’ll be:
- Collaborating with Training and Recruitment teams to tailor training support.
- Delivering engaging training sessions to new and existing drivers through a blended learning approach — including hands-on practical sessions in the yard, classroom-based learning, and one-on-one coaching over the phone.
- Interviewing and assessing new driver candidates.
- Promoting fuel efficiency, safety, and best driving practices.
- Using telematics and performance data to provide constructive coaching.
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date training records.
- Liaising with Transport Managers and Planners to ensure training is timely and impactful.
- Communicating clearly and confidently across all levels of the business.
- 40 hours per week (typically 07:30–16:00, Monday to Friday).
- Driver Trainer flexibility is essential — early starts, late finishes, and occasional weekend work may be required.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is organised, proactive, and can manage priorities.
- Enjoys learning and is ready to grow into a specialist role.
- Is flexible and responsive to the demands of a fast-moving environment.
