To provide high-quality receptionist and administrative support in line with the standards set out in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for HMRC Croydon. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual who can manage a variety of front-of-house and support tasks efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities
Perform general receptionist duties including answering phones, processing emails, filing, and organising paperwork.
Maintain full knowledge of all operational areas and ensure tasks are completed to SLA standards.
Issue visitor and colleague passes while adhering to all security protocols.
Deliver, replenish, and clear refreshments in meeting rooms promptly and professionally.
Support other departments as needed, including the mail room and cleaning teams.
Report maintenance issues immediately, including faulty equipment or identified hazards.
Use appropriate safety signage (e.g., wet floor signs) to ensure customer safety.
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and wear the provided uniform and PPE as required.
Participate in all relevant training, including Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, and site-specific procedures.
Address customer complaints or issues promptly and escalate to the Front of House Manager when necessary.
Actively contribute to team meetings and service improvement initiatives.
Perform additional cleaning or receptionist tasks as directed by management.
Be flexible to cover additional hours during staff absences (e.g., holidays or sickness).
Assist with the lifting and movement of furniture for meetings or events.
Always work with awareness of surroundings, behavior expectations, and security procedures.
Complete all necessary paperwork related to your duties.
Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

We are on the lookout for a professional, welcoming, and experienced Receptionist to join our team. You will perform reception, administration, and secretarial duties efficiently and effectively on behalf of the building in which you are located in.

You will help facilitate the flow of personnel by managing access points throughout the building and ensuring the maintenance of fob access systems. You will be expected to keep a tidy and efficient reception area, providing a professional and courteous service throughout. You will also be required to handle any phone calls and emails in a prompt, professional manner as well as sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages.

As a Corporate Receptionist, you will be in charge of managing documentation and ensuring it is stored in the appropriate location or system. Some additional duties will include opening and closing the building, maintaining building security, managing queries and messages from visitors, issuing visitor and staff passes, assisting with emergency evacuations, ordering of consumable goods and more.

We are looking for someone with a friendly and approachable manner and can always remain professional, displaying sound communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate needs to be IT literate with the ability to prioritise your own workload and work efficiently to agreed deadlines.
