The Injured Jockeys Fund is a charity whose vision and mission are to improve the lives of injured jockeys, past and present, and their dependents, by providing immediate and ongoing help and support, whether it be physical, emotional, financial, or pastoral.
Following a review of future business needs, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join our passionate and dedicated finance team based at Peter O’Sullevan House in Newmarket. Part of the Senior Management Team, this role will be responsible for producing the monthly management accounts, running the payroll, variance analysis and year end reconciliations.

Salary: £60,000 per annum
Working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Some out of hours working will be required to attend key industry or organisation events.
Ideally, candidates should have the following attributes:
· Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification i.e. CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
· The ability to manage and motivate a team of three.
· Exceptional communication skills, particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals and volunteers.
· Good analytical skills.
· First-hand experience of planning, budgeting & forecasting.
· Ability and desire to continually improve systems and processes.
· Excellent computer skills, in particular Microsoft 365 applications and Power BI.
· Knowledge of Business Central, Healthbox HR, TM3, CRM or similar systems would be an advantage.
· Knowledge of risk surrounding IT systems and Data Protection – professional third-party support is in place.
· Used to providing accurate and timely information to a high standard.
· Empathy, experience and understanding of charity accounts, charity legislation and the charity sector.
