HR & OD Officer - Mid Sussex District Council

Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex

Salary: £34,314 - £38, 626 pa

About The Role

Mid Sussex District Council is seeking a driven and experienced HR & OD Officer to join our team. We are looking for an experienced HR generalist who has a comprehensive understanding of all key HR functions with a particular passion and interest for recruitment and learning and development.

As an HR & OD Officer, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of HR and OD functions to support the organisation's goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include activities within;

  • Recruitment and selection
  • Learning and development
  • Employee relations
  • Performance management
  • Payroll administration
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and laws

You will work closely with the HR & OD Business Partners to develop and implement HR policies and procedures, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of key HR systems
  • Personal attributes including integrity, approachability, collaboration, relationship-building skills, and high emotional intelligence
