Project Engineer

About the Role~

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering (Projects) team based at our Croydon site. This role will be responsible for the technical realisation of complex and innovative projects as we continue to expand and modernise our site. You will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget while meeting the highest standards of engineering integrity and safety.

Role Responsibilities~

• Full responsibility for execution and delivery of engineering solutions across assigned projects.
• Day-to-day management, coordination, and oversight of project engineering activities.
• Ensure projects meet agreed timelines and budgets, reporting progress and any deviations.
• Manage equipment installation and delivery in line with project goals.
• Support commissioning and snagging resolution phases.
• Maintain compliance with all engineering standards, project procedures, CDM regulations and company HSE policies.
• Represent the company in design and safety reviews (e.g. HAZOP, risk assessments).
• Monitor stakeholder engagement and support the Head of Projects in issue resolution.
• Manage commercial aspects including capital budgets, tendering, supplier negotiations and invoice approvals.
  
  

What you'll need~

• Degree or HND in an engineering discipline.
• Membership of APM or a similar project management body is desirable.
• 3–5 years’ project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (mechanical or electrical).
• Strong technical understanding of M&E, extrusion, pressure systems, automation, and general engineering.
• Proven track record managing complex projects and driving process improvement.
• Sound knowledge of project management methodologies and OHSE legislation.
• Commercially astute with solid budgeting and cost management skills.
