About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join Nottingham Trent University as as a key member of the team delivering our established Sino-UK Joint Masters Programme in Broadcast Journalism and BA programme in Media Communications with Communication University of China (CUC).

You will be aware of emerging contemporary issues of particular significance for the future development of the journalism and media industry and profession to ensure that we provide our students and graduates with the most current experiences and opportunities.

You will be required to actively develop and maintain a national and international network of professionals as well as relevant industry and professional organisations to ensure we are involved in the conversations surrounding the future of the subject area.

You would be based at CUC in Beijing, working as part of a small team there and maintaining regular contact with the NTU team in the UK. To support teaching and learning, you would need to be in China for a minimum of two periods of between 12-14 weeks each academic year, with these periods being aligned to CUC’s academic calendar.

If you have a detailed understanding of the journalism, media and communications sector both in the UK and internationally, with a significant knowledge of curriculum developments, contemporary teaching practices, and an ability to transfer this knowledge into supporting our collaborative partnership with CUC, then we would like to hear from you. .

The Sino-UK Joint Institute is a partnership between Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and Communication University of China.
