We need a Lead Campaigner to support our global campaign to enact an ‘International Treaty to Ban the Political Abuse of Religion’ with an indisputable approach to eliminate the root causes of religious conflicts and discrimination worldwide.

What difference will you make?

As a volunteer Lead Campaigner, you will help BPUR International to set global rules to protect all victims of religious oppression and discrimination worldwide. Our supporters, including many religious minority leaders, believe that this proposed treaty would be the ultimate tool to empower civil societies in their campaigns to enforce human rights values. We believe this proposed treaty will touch the lives of billions in every corner of the world, serving all international humanitarian objectives by eliminating the root causes of many conflicts and a long list of abuses of human rights. Subsequently, it would enhance stability and open the doors for sustainable development for countries worldwide.

What are we looking for?

Financial Acumen Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including compliance standards relevant to NGOs. Analytical Ability Strategic financial planning and reporting. Attention to Detail Meticulous attention to accuracy and the ability to maintain comprehensive and clear financial records. Communication Skills Ability to present financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

BPUR International aims to consolidate and affirm all international norms related to Human Rights with "a highly focused and more effective new international treaty to combat specifically all forms of discrimination on religious bases. This initiative follows an inclusive approach, grounded in the utmost respect for all religions and personal beliefs, to introduce clear, precise, comprehensive and irrefutable international rules to prevent ➔ all political uses of religion that undermine human equality, ➔ all religious discrimination in rights and duties, ➔ all religious exclusions, ➔ and all restrictions to freedom of religion or belief. This peace-making mission is on the international agenda with an imminent supporting resolution at the council of Europe, and rapidly growing support is more than 80 countries and advanced engagements with more than 20 governments. Key Responsibilities Financial Management Handle the accounts and process payments to align with BPUR’s policies and ethical principles. Financial Reporting Bookkeeping, transparent audited accounts in full compliance with the Companies' House and HMRC regulations. Compliance Ensure all financial practices comply with regulatory standards and non-profit financial guidelines, maintaining BPUR’s commitment to accountability and integrity. Skills and Qualifications Experience Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably within an NGO or non-profit organisation. Financial Acumen Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, including compliance standards relevant to NGOs. Technical Skills Proficiency in financial management software, data analysis and reporting.
