Job Description
A rare opportunity has come up for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic practice in Falkirk!
Due to the location of the practice, we see a good variety of cases and have a wonderful expanding client base resulting in us requiring an additional Vet to offer more of our services. We are looking for either a full or part time vet to expand the caseload further. For full time hours we work 4 days per week. This would include 1 in 4 weekends.
There is OOH included in this role with the practice providing an OOH service till 10pm Monday – Friday, of which you would be expected to do 1 evening per week.
The team is currently made up of 6 Vets, 8 RVN’s and 6 front of surgery colleagues, many of which have been with the practice since its opening, showing the family feel team we have created in the practice. This isn’t just in work either, we enjoy going for regular days or nights out to further enhance the great bond we have as a team. The team is led by our partner Samantha who studied at Edinburgh University and has over 12 years’ experience with both small and large animals.
We are ideally looking for a vet who is experienced and confident in all aspects of the role due to our varied medical and surgical caseload, ideally being confident in both ops and consults. In practice we also encourage CPD and further learning for each team member to expand knowledge and work on specialisations within the team.

- You will join a team that has very low colleague turn over
- They are looking for a good all rounder vet to join the practice and will support CPD and certificates
- The practice has become a pillar of the local community and pride themselves in continuity of care ensuring all the vets have a great rapport with their clients and furry friends alike!
- The practice love to socialise outside of work including attending the weekly local quiz
- Weekends are worked on a 1 in 4 basis
- This role will include sole charge, and the practice offer an OOH service till 10pm Monday to Friday, so you will have to work 1 evening per week
- The practice has a mixed case load offering lots of opportunity for development
