Build the Future of Talent at One of the UK’s Fastest-Growing Retailers

At Screwfix, we’re proud of our rapid growth, industry-leading service, and people-first culture. As part of the Kingfisher Group, we’re on a mission to build a world-class workforce capable of delivering continued success across 900+ stores and a leading omnichannel offer.

We're looking for a Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition to lead the evolution of our recruitment approach and deliver lasting impact through the people we bring into our business.

The Opportunity

In this pivotal leadership role heading up the Talent Acquisition Team at Screwfix and working as part of the People Leadership Team. You’ll be at the forefront of how we attract, engage, and hire talent across the business. Success in this role isn’t measured by tasks, but by the outcomes you create:

  • You’ll be known as the person who transformed attraction at Screwfix. Candidates will recognise our brand, and top talent will choose to work with us—not just because of what we offer, but because of how we show up in the market. Our attraction strategy will be targeted, measurable and delivering high-quality hires across all levels.
  • You’ll create a seamless, modern hiring experience that reflects our brand. Whether someone is applying to a retail role or a head office function, they’ll experience a process that is fast, fair, inclusive, and genuinely engaging. Hiring managers will feel supported and empowered, with the right tools and insight to make confident hiring decisions.
  • You’ll be the trusted resourcing partner to senior leaders across Screwfix. Your insight will shape strategic workforce planning, and your credibility will come from delivering results. You’ll help the business understand talent trends, anticipate challenges, and act early to meet future capability needs.
  • You’ll lead a high-performing, engaged recruitment team. Your team will be seen as experts across the business—known for pace, professionalism and a deep understanding of what great looks like. They’ll be proud of the work they do and inspired by your leadership.
  • You’ll drive real commercial value from recruitment. Through improved processes, smart technology, data-led decisions and supplier optimisation, recruitment will not only deliver talent—it will add value to the bottom line.
  • You’ll land transformation with clarity and confidence. From implementing a new recruitment system to introducing a refreshed service model, you’ll lead change in a way that brings people with you. Your approach will be structured, well-communicated, and grounded in stakeholder buy-in.
